Water Supply & Treatment System Overview
Two Rivers Utilities Water Supply & Treatment Division is dedicated to providing a superior quality drinking water at a reasonable price to our customers, with a total commitment to the protection of the public health.

The Samuel L. Wilkins Raw Water Pumping Facility is situated on Mountain Island Lake, which provides high quality water in sufficient amounts as to allow for future needs. We also have a pumping station on the South Fork River which is used as an emergency back-up to Mt. Island.

The Water Treatment Plant is where the majority of the clean up of the water occurs. The plant treats 10 to 24 million gallons per day for a population of about 100,000. Here, plant personnel analyze data from over 27 million tests and readings annually. From the Water Plant, the water is pumped into the distribution system, which consists of storage tanks, homes, schools, businesses, etc.
